Londrina… finally!

edd_dani_2

“You are blessed beyond measure and God loves you with His everlasting love which will never fail! Joy is your inheritance, peace your pillow to rest on. He has plans and a future for you that far exceeds your greatest imagination. Hold on. It is coming.”

A good friend of ours from the US just wrote an email with this beautiful prophetic word for us. It blessed me beyond what words can say, so, I thought I should share it here. I hope they speak and bless you as much as they did to me.

We have finally arrived in Londrina. Praise God. It did take us a while for us to come though. So many things happened since we planned to move here… my mom got sick and needed my assistance, then it was Dani’s birthday on April 14th and we had a barbecue for her family and some close friends, then we were blessed with a car and we had to pass it to our name and pay it’s taxes, so, it took us much longer than what we expected but, praise God, here we are.

Mike Shea gave us the key of this apartment which belongs to an American lady from their ministry who is in the US right now. We’ll be staying here for two weeks and then we’ll work at the Youth Power Invasion with Randy Clark for three weeks. After that we’ll come back and rent an apartment for us.

Here is a picture of Mike Shea, the founder and president of House of David

We are so excited to be here. These guys from Casa de Davi(house of David) are amazing. I have been a Christian for 28 years and a pastor for the last 7 years and I never found such a passionate and God centered ministry such as House of David. I already knew them but being here is a totally different thing.

There are people here from Canada, USA, Mexico, Argentina and from all over Brazil. People who hear God telling them to come and join the ministry, then they talk to Mike Shea who shares it with everyone in the ministry and if there is a confirmation in their hearts then they receive the new comers as a family.

There are about 90 people in the ministry and they live totally by faith, totally dependant on God. If they need money for rent or food, they go to the worship center to pray and ask God for it. Then, someone calls or leaves an envelope to them with an offering, exactly the amount they need. We’ve been hearing all these testimonies about God’s provision and it is really a blessing to hear about how good our God is.

Besides going to churches all over Brazil to minister worship and teach their seminars, they also run the 24/7 worship center (check the pictures below). They still don’t have people enough to have it running 24/7. Their goal is to have more and more people sent by God until they can have 24 shifts of one hour live worship. Right now it is opened 12 hours a day with non stop live worship and intercession for the nations.

This is an outside view of the Worship Center, you have to come here!

It is great to be here and to feel the atmosphere of heaven in this place. Everyone is so kind and hungry for God. It is amazing to be here. We’ve arrived yesterday and we already feel a great difference in our hearts.

It seems that it is easier to hear God’s voice and direction here, specially because everyone here understands what it means to be seeking God’s will above all things.

Pastor Gary Oates is coming tomorrow with a team from the US and we are going to help them with the translations during ministry time. We are so excited to be here and to be a part of what God is doing in our nation.

Our prayer requests:

1. Provision
We still work for Global Awakening, but, we sold and gave away all our furniture before we came here, so, we’ll either have to buy new stuff or rent a furnished apartment. Either way it will cost us money that we were not expecting to spend. We’ll need an extra 300 dollars a month, so, pray with us for the Father to send his provision.

2. Visas
We are still waiting for our visas to be granted to us. We met a Brazilian couple here who have a permanent resident card to the US. It encouraged us to talk to them and learn about God’s supernatural provision for them. We know that God will give us our visas in his good and perfect timing.

3. Direction
Once we get our visas we need direction as of how long God wants us here in Londrina and when we should go to the US.

4. Bakersfield
Pray for our Bakersfield family, for God’s blessing and provision for them as they patiently wait for our arrival.(we cant wait to be there!)

We love you all. Do keep in touch. Our email is edd_rocha@inbox.com

More Brazilian fire,

Oh, boy!

edddani.jpg
It’s been a while since our last update and for that I apologize. Dani and I have been really busy with the next two upcoming Global Crusades, one in July and the other in September. We’ve been working 8-10 hours a day, talking to pastors, e-mailing over 50 churches, booking gymnasiums for the crusade and making all the preparations that it takes to make sure that everything is going swell for the crusades.

We have received many emails from friends asking about what is going on so, here are some FAQs(and their answers) for you:

 Where are you guys?

We are Still in Rio. Unfortunately we were not able to move to Londrina yet.

 When are you going to Londrina?

We wish we were there already. We talked to Mike Shea and he is expecting us there but, there are a few things for us to sort out here before we move. We are going for good(at least until December) and it is a big move for us so, we want to make sure all our business here in Rio are dealt with properly before we go.

 Have you gotten your visas yet?

No, not yet. The Garden(www.bccgarden.com) is taking care of that. We have learned that since 0911 it has become harder to get a visa to the US. Besides, Brazil is number two in illegal immigrants in the US (Mexico is # 1). So, it is not a surprise that it is taking so long for our request to be processed.

 When are you coming to the US?

Our friends from Open Heaven Ministries(www.openheavenministries.com) in Ohio think it would be a good idea for us to go to the US in October with a tourist visa just for a quick visit and strengthening of bonds. We think that it’s a great idea and we are praying about it. If we do go we’d minister at some churches in Florida, Ohio and also visit our family in Bakersfield before we come back to Brazil to wait for our R visa.

 How are your finances? Do you need any help?

Good is always good and he has been providing for us but, he does that through people, so, if you feel in your heart that you should bless us financially, please do so by clicking in our “donate” button on the first page of our blog. We appreciate and thank you for doing so.

Thank you for dropping by and, once again, sorry for taking so long to write. I’ll make sure we have a weekly update.

May the Father continue to pour your fire over your life and ministry.

Edd and Dani Rocha

Updates

Dearest Intercessors

This is just a quick note to let you know what is going on with us over here in Brazil.

 Unfortunately our visas haven’t being issued yet. It is taking much longer than Dani and I expected but we know God is in control and they will come on the right time.

 We have prayed and understood that God wants us to spend some time with House of David ministries in Londrina. Dani and I have prayed about it and God told us to move to Londrina to get better trained and equipped for ministry while we wait for our visas.

 We believe that our time with HOD will be a great time of preparation of what the Father has ahead. We are planning to move to Londrina on May 10, God willing. Please pray for us, for adaptation and for provision.

 Randy Clark will be here in Brazil again in July and September. Dani and I are working to make those two trips happen and we will be coordinating the american team here.

 Last sunday was Dani’s birthday. We had a great time with the family, it was really special. Dani is so happy right now for we have been working out and she lost 8 pounds. So now she can buy a smaller size of clothes… funny how that can make you girls so happy!

 Please pray for our finances. We are moving to Londrina but, since we sold some and away most of our furniture, we have nothing to move in with us. We have decided to rent a furnished apartment but it costs twice the amount that we can afford. We know God will make a way but, I also believe in the power of prayer, specially prayer from people who really care for us.

Thank you so much for your love, prayers and intercession.

May God powerfully bless you today!

Major Visitation

We are still amazed with all God did during this last Global Awakening Trip. And what a trip! We had Mike and Cherry Kaylor, Tom Jones and Mike Shea as main Speakers and House of David doing the worship. God showed up at this cruzade again, He loves to come! We had many great healings in both cities. Check out the testimonies on the testimonies page.
Dani and I have been really busy these days since the cruzade was over and I havent had any time to write. Nevertheless, I had to write this to ask you all to pray for my mother. She suffered a mild schemia last month. We took her to the doctor, she is taking medicine and she is already walking by herself again. Thank you all for your prayers and support. We had to postpone our trip to the US due to my mom’s condition. We are now planning to go in August, after the Power Invasion Trip.
I will let you know all about the awesome visitation I had in the next post soon. May God richly bless you!

Fulfilling our destiny

God has placed a huge burden for the United States in our hearts for the last 20 years and we believe now is the time to answer that calling. Recently we’ve been invited to move to Bakersfield, CA, by Bakersfield Community Church.

“Our time with Edd & Dani was remarkable. After they had shared their testimony and dreams, Edd pulled out his guitar and began worshipping God. Within minutes I found myself on my face before God crying out for my city and especially the youth of my city. I believe Edd & Dani will be a catalyst for a move of God as they come to the United States.”
Rick Daves, Businessman / Elder – Bakersfield Community Church

We are so glad for all the prophetic insight and direction God gave us. We are also happy that Pr Randy Clark has blessed our decision to move to the USA.

God has given us an open heaven over our heads and wherever we minister he honors us by sending his glory down. The desire of our hearts is not only to be visited by God, but, as true temples, to be a place where he can continually dwell.

You can have us ministering at your church and conference, just click on the tab “invite us” on the top of this page.

Please pray about and consider helping us with an offering, let God touch your heart to sow into our ministry. Any amount will be welcome.

Working for Randy Clark is both a pleasure and a privilege. We get to receive so many impartations from so many anointing apostolic leaders such as Bill Johnson, Heidi Baker and so many others who have shook nations with the gospel of Jesus. I am thankful to the Lord for placing me in Global Awakening.

Recently I was watching a DVD from the Voice of Apostles Conference. It was Randy preaching on Power for Purpose. There is another video from the same conference with Heidi preaching and she is talking about “laying it all down”.

Both messages talk about the same thing, through many experiences, stories and bibles texts they go on to say that God sends his power for a purpose.

In do miracle cruzades four to eight times a year, sometimes with a team from America, sometimes just Dani and I. and in all these cruzades we see a lot of people asking God for fire.

In the Bible we see that God sends his fire for three main purposes:

1 – To accept the sacrifice (see 1 Kings 18.38)
2 – To purify (Isaiah 6.6)
3 – To empower (Acts 2.3,4)

Most of the people who cry out for God to send their fire want the power of God to touch them, and that is fine. Most of the times they want God to accept their lives as a living sacrifice, or to purify their hearts or even to empower them. I just want to write this quick note about the latter, “Empower for what?”

This is a question that has been ringing in my spiritual ears a lot lately. The other day we went to the beach after my work hours as we usually do and we were talking about it.

We, as Christians, go to church every Sunday… what for? We sing hymns, hug each other and smile… what for? We hear the pastor talk about compassion and love… what for? We have a nice building which we only use for a couple of hours a week… what for? We go to church and cry out for God to send his power… what for?

See, this is the question we must be asking ourselves daily. “What for God? What have you given us all this for? What is the purpose you have for my life, for my church, for our services, for our sermons and smiles? What is it all for, God?”

It’s been cold in the USA, cold weather… cold hearts. Two men died in the cold streets of Cincinnati yesterday. “He froze to death,” said a local homeless, Kenneth “Wolf” Niebel, 43. “He was sick. He has been sick for a while, though. He had throat cancer.”

And where were we? Where was the church? Where was Jesus when this man died slowly in the cold wheather? Maybe a hot soup or a hot cup of coffe could have saved him that night.
It is time for us to reevaluate our Christianity brothers and sisters, if you are still here reading this, I believe that this is because you care. It is time we stop talking so much about love and start doing something about it.

“But my church does have a “program” for the homeless.” Some of us might say. Ok, good, that means that your pastor and some people in your church cares, and that is awesome. But make sure you are personally there once in a while, looking at the faces of those who have far less than you. I love to go to the plaza with some friends to distribute free meals to the homeless at night. It’s amazing how suddenly we stop complaining about our problems and become so grateful to God for what he’s given us.

Lets ask God for more, lets ask him for fire… Lets also use what we have to let Jesus once again walk on this earth, this time, through us.

Love,

Edd Rock

Angelic visitations

Today I sent an e-mail to a pastor friend of mine from New Zealand and I told her about the angelic visitation I had a couple of days ago. I’d like to share that experience with you too.

A couple of days ago I went to have my “no so quiet” time with the Lord and I wasnt feeling very well in my spirit. So, I prayed and started to sing a new song saying, “Oh, Father… send your warrior angel to fight with me and minister to me…” in a matter of minutes I started to feel this awesome peace… suddently I felt a presence behind me on my right. I looked back over my right shoulder and I there was this huge, well built and strong angel besides me… He was rocking back and forth and he had a sword on his hand… It was awesome… I felt renewed… I could feel he was ministering to me… blessing me… guarding me… and casting away all the evil and opression that was trying to supress me. I started to sing even louder, I sang a song that came from deep inside my soul. It was a war cry… It felt great.

I want to encorage you to experience these incredible angelic visitations too. The Bible says in Hebrews 1.14 “Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?”

Next time you go through the storm, remember, God has provided back up for you. You don’t have to be alone. Just start crying out to the Father and He will send you his angels to watch over you and to minister to your need.(Psalms 91.11)

Shalom Adonai,

Edd Rock

Once I was traveling with a friend on a mission trip. I was all excited about what was lying ahead of us and I talked to my friend for about 15 minutes, wondering how the trip would be, what God would do… etc. During this time, my friend didn’t say a word, he just smiled and looked ahead. I thought he was thinking about all I was saying but, at some point I poked him on the arm and said, “what do you think?” He turned to me with a question mark on his face, took off a tiny earphone from under his hair and said, “sorry, my I-pod was really loud… what did you say?”
This kind of thing is really frustrating isn’t it, and I have talked to a lot of people who feel like that towards God. They think he is not listening or maybe his I-pod is too loud as well. Friends, this is not the truth. God is always listening, he is always there for us, and actually, he knows all we need even before we ask. Now, the greatest misunderstanding is to think that God is the God of all. That the heavenly Father is the everyone’s father and should take care of everyone. That God is a god of love, so he must be everyone’s friend. See, this is not true. God makes it clear in his word, the Bible, that not everyone in the world are his children, but those who chose to (John 1.12) and not everyone is Jesus’ friend, but those who obey his commandments (John 15.14).
God also says that if we are religious, he wont listen to us! Our prayers will not even reach his throne, but if we are obedient to his will for our lives and live according to his word, he says he will listen to us even before we cry out for him(Isaiah 58).
There was a time in my life when I just sought what I though was right for me, I just did what I wanted to do, what gave me pleasure or what I thought was the best. During this time I hardly heard God, I hardly sought Him, actually. I only prayed when I desperately needed something. Until I found out that God really loved me, that he just wanted me to be his child, his son, his friend. But I learned that, in order to have this relationship with him, I should give up my life, my desires, my passions, my own personal goals and all that I held dear.
I must confess, it is never easy, it wasn’t easy for me… but I did it. It took me a while, but I finally came to the point where I really wanted to give my life to the Lord. Oh, don’t misunderstand me, I was a Christian already. I got “saved” in church at the age of seven and baptized at the age of fourteen. I had been to church every Sunday ever since. I was a good religious boy. But my real encounter with Jesus only happened at the age of 26. I was sitting on the window of my apartment building and I said, “God, I don’t like my life. I feel lonely and frustrated. I want to end it. But if you want if, you can have it, you can have my life… but please speak to me. If you don’t speak to me, I will just end it for there is no reason good enough for me to live.” Then I heard God speak clearly in my heart, “I want you.” I felt a wave of peace, love, forgiveness, acceptance, assurance and joy come into my heart. I felt touched by God and I gave myself totally to Him.
Since then I’ve been asking God what he wants of me rather than telling him what I want from him. See, this is the difference! This is what a true son must do, instead of telling Him what we want and getting frustrated for not having it at times, we just tell him to take our heart and shape it the way he wants, to put His will inside us, then, when we want something, it’s something he has planted in our hearts and he will make it happen.
God is good, he always has the best for us, always. Just give your live, your heart, your body, your mind, your soul, your desires, your thoughts, your everything to Him and say, “Here I am, Lord, all that I am. Take me and make me yours. Show me your will and make it mine.” The best thing about it is to find out that God’s plan for us are far better that anything we could plan or pull for and by ourselves.
He is a good daddy, give yourself to Him today!

Love,

Edd Rock

Hi, welcome back. thanks for dropping by. I hope you had a great christmas holiday. Dani and I are still with our family in Rio enjoying our vacation. We are having a great time going to the beach and enjoying our loved ones. We wish you were here.

On Christmas eve we were in 25 people here in our home, parents, uncles, cousins and friends. Just before we had our Christmas eve dinner (which is very traditional for us in Brazil) we had a time of worship and prayer. I took my guitar and sang a couple of songs with Dani. Jesus showed up and told us we are his children, we have his DNA and nothing can change that. He said that for 2007 he wants to see us fulfilling his calling and destiny to our lives. It was powerful and deep. everyone cryed and sobbed. The Fathers presence was loving and assuring. It was wonderful.

Today I want to share this revelation with you. You are a beloved child of God. When you were born again His holy DNA was injected into your system and now you partake of His nature. You can even sin if you try and decide to, but you can’t stay in sin. It will be sickening for you. You have to and will come back to seeking God and doing His will for this is your nature now, it’s written in every cell of your body. You belong to Him and you will overcome sin and you will be filled with his glory and power to heal the sick and to bring God’s kingdom down to wherever you are. You are a beloved and chosen child. Glorify your heavenly Father in your life.

2007 is coming, our wish is to see you unleash the power of God that abides within you. It’s a new year and it brings a new perspective and a new anointing for your life. Nothing is impossible for God.

Love,

Edd & Dani Rock
